Buck Mountain gas is a proud member of the federation of Alberta Gas Co-ops.

The Buck Mountain Gas Co-op ltd franchise has been serving the rural community since 1979 when the government of Alberta created the rural natural gas granting program. This program has allowed rural Albertans to enjoy the luxury of natural gas to heat their home when, in the past, the only options were wood, coal and propane.

Our franchise area spans three counties; Brazeau, Leduc and Wetaskiwin County #10 – an area total of 2,750 square kilometers

Our membership has grown to more than 2600 members, with more than 2,000 kilometers of underground pipe. Our members are served by our 7 employees and 7 board members.

We build, operate and maintain our own pipeline and are on-call 24 hours a day to respond to gas-odour calls and natural gas emergencies.
